How does Window Cloud Sync work?
Window Cloud Sync assigns a unique identifier (GUID) to each tab and group to track correspondence across devices. When you open a new tab on one device, the system records it and uploads a window snapshot to the cloud. Other linked devices detect the remote change, download the data, and identify differences — adding new tabs, closing tabs deleted remotely, and updating tabs whose URLs changed.
Before each sync, the system checks whether local window contents have changed — uploading only when changes exist, skipping when nothing has changed. Likewise, remote data is downloaded only when there are new changes. After downloading, each tab and group is compared individually, and only the necessary incremental changes are applied to the browser, preventing duplicate tabs or unexpected closures.
All synced data uses end-to-end encryption. Tab URLs, page titles, and other sensitive information are encrypted with a local password before upload. The server stores only ciphertext.

How do you set up Window Cloud Sync?
Setting up Window Cloud Sync takes three steps: enable sync mode and the Window Cloud Sync toggle in settings, create or link a cloud sync for a window, then sign in on another device with the same account.
Step 1: Enable cloud sync

Bulk Change Safeguard
