DualPiP v1.10 Release Notes

DualPiP v1.10 upgrades Picture-in-Picture (PiP) live AI subtitles and real-time bilingual translation on Chrome and Edge, letting you multitask with a floating video window while watching unsubtitled videos, online courses, and live streams on YouTube, Twitch, Bilibili, and any website. Alongside Deepgram, DualPiP now includes Soniox, xAI, and Qwen (Alibaba Cloud) as built-in speech-to-text engines, with full support for adding your own API keys. Soniox native real-time bilingual translation transcribes speech and displays translated subtitles in the PiP window simultaneously without using AI translation credits. In addition, fixed daily limits are replaced by one-time account quotas and never-expiring top-up packs, so you can watch long lectures, movies, and streams without hitting a 30-minute daily cap.

• Soniox Native Real-Time Bilingual Translation (Zero Translation Credits Used): When using Soniox in Picture-in-Picture with bilingual subtitles turned on, Soniox transcribes audio and translates subtitles at the same time (supporting two-way translation, one-way translation, and custom glossaries) without calling external translation APIs or spending AI translation quota
• Multi-Region Server Selection for Lower Latency: Choose the closest server location for Soniox (Japan, US, EU, India), Deepgram (US, EU), and Qwen (Mainland China, Singapore) to minimize live caption delay in Picture-in-Picture
• On-Demand Quota Top-Up Packs: Purchase extra AI subtitle minutes (600 / 1,200 / 2,400 min) or AI translation requests (6,000 / 15,000 / 30,000 requests) on our website whenever you need more — top-up credits never expire and stack across purchases

• One-Time Account Quota Replaces Daily Limits: Built-in AI Captions and Cloud AI Translation now use a total account balance instead of a 30-minute daily cap. Your full quota is granted upfront upon sign-up or purchase, and you can check your remaining minutes and translation requests anytime in Settings. Existing PRO members receive the matching pool on the first cloud subtitle or translation request after updating to v1.10.0:
  • Free PRO Trial: 60 minutes of AI Captions + 1,000 AI Translation requests (valid during trial)
  • 1-Year PRO: 360 minutes of AI Captions + 6,000 AI Translation requests (valid for the 1-year plan)
  • Lifetime PRO: 960 minutes of AI Captions + 16,000 AI Translation requests (never expires)

• Easier In-PiP Controls & Searchable Language Picker: Redesigned the top-right status panel and menu inside the Picture-in-Picture window so you can search languages and switch speech engines, spoken languages, or capture modes with one click without returning to the main tab
• Cleaner Sentence Splitting & Instant Display Mode Switching: Splits long continuous speech into readable subtitle lines with less flickering in the floating window; browser built-in translation now translates sentence by sentence; switching between Bilingual, Original Only, and Translation Only updates PiP subtitles immediately
• Faster Subtitle Startup & Seek Recovery: Shortened the wait when auto-starting AI Captions on unsubtitled videos and sped up caption recovery after scrubbing the timeline
• Deepgram Auto Language Locks in Faster: With Deepgram and Auto language, Picture-in-Picture AI Captions show text sooner while the spoken language is confirmed, then continue on the same timeline without a visible gap
• Bilingual Subtitles and AI Captions — One at a Time: Turning on AI Captions hides overlapping site subtitles; choosing bilingual subtitles stops AI Captions. If both site auto bilingual and auto AI Captions are enabled, videos with existing subtitles stay on bilingual mode; AI Captions start only when none are available (manually started AI Captions are not replaced automatically)

• Fixed Picture-in-Picture AI Captions sometimes running but showing no on-screen subtitles until you switched provider or toggled again
• Fixed Deepgram Auto language taking too long to confirm or leaving a break between early subtitles and full captions
• Fixed live subtitles occasionally dropping the first words, jumping, or clipping when multi-line bilingual text is shown in the PiP window
• Fixed subtitles drifting out of sync when you rewind to an earlier moment in the video
• Skips unnecessary translation when the detected spoken language already matches your target subtitle language
